long way

Sell's profile creates a truly enveloping world, which just might have you subscribing to the Viennagram way. - DVD Talk

The point of the film isn't the truth, though; Sell gives us a portrait of this act and The Viennagram presents us with the image they want. If that doesn't represent the real people behind the band, so be it, I'd still go see them. By far, the longest film on the disc, it is also the most detailed and shows that Sell can hold the viewer's interest at thirty minutes as well as he does at ten. - DVD Verdict

An exploration into the work and lives of the various members who make up the avant-garde rock band The Viennagram. Through colorful visuals, interviews with each member, live concert footage, and many on-stage antics, Long Way Back... is a celebration of ego, and depicts the tension which began to grow from a band who considered themselves one of the greatest acts in history. The film was shot through much controversy and public backlash, and was even banned from its hometown upon initial release due to fears of riots.
