SYNOPSIS

In March of 2010, the Portland based folk-rock band 'The Singing Knives' arrived in New Orleans, ready to explore, perform, and record in the Big Easy. From their at-times humorous attempts at shooting music videos in the murky swamp, to setting up their gear on Royal Street and playing an all day set to curious passerbys, 'The Singing Knives' tour of New Orleans was completely documented by Sell, through his Hi8 video camera and hand held digital video recorder. 'In The Golden Blood of The Sunlight' documents the many stand out live performances, in-depth radio interviews, various behind-the-scenes footage from their music video shoots (including footage from 'Woke Up This Morning', the swamp based 'Needles in the Spring'), and personal recording studio sessions as the band worked to record their upcoming release. 'In The Golden Blood...' is a swamp-rock-music-driven portrait that explores the various aspects of life in a touring band and the passion of its members.
