As 2010 is nearing its end, I have, though I have been saying this for a while, plan on giving away my beloved Hi8 video camera in hopes of one day graduating onto something bigger, though probably not better. I would like to give the camera to the next ambitious, promising, lo-fi magician who has hopes of one day making a splash in the film scene with this specific camera. In order to have your chance at receiving the camera, all you need to do is simply write an email to info@courtneysell.com explaining your plans, thoughts, dreams, etc. and how you will accomplish them with this specific camera. It is obvious that even though everything seems HD right now, the world will be swinging back into lo-fi aesthetics soon enough - so here's your chance to beat them to the punch! The camera will be handed off at the beginning of 2011 to one lucky winner, who I feel is qualified to handle the power of such an incredible recording device. The camera has allowed me to successfully complete over one hundred films, including documentaries, music videos, and short films. Some of which can be viewed at the film section of this site.

The camera is nearing ten years old, and the lens has begun to get dirty (though I prefer it this way) I will include a taped over tape inside the camera for you to begin your project with.

The battery life of the camera is still incredibly amazing and will stay full for a few hours. Impressive considering it's age.

The camera has successfully endured numerous amounts of spills, including beer, whiskey, tequila, gasoline, and many other substances and still works like a charm!

The camera is decorated with various stickers and other monumental decorations that better explain the history of where it has been, what it has shot, and who has come in contact with it.

new york city is like a well orchestrated ballet, while Boston is just a chaotic, unprofessional boxing match.
i was only trying to get to the top of the bottom, so if i fell, it wouldn't hurt as much.
he could be speaking poetry, but i don't understand his language therefore, it is all meaningless drivel to me.
there is not a point to anything until you make one.
